Megan K. Burgess
Associate
Megan K. Burgess joined Lehner & Rodrigues as an associate in 2006. Megan is a native Oregonian and attended Linfield College graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Before joining the firm, Ms. Burgess practiced with the Law Offices of Ivan M. Karmel focusing on general civil litigation, personal injury, family law, and criminal law matters. Previously Ms. Burgess clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice, Trial Division, Torts Section.
Ms. Burgess is a member of the Litigation Section of the Oregon State Bar. She is also a member of the Multnomah County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, Oregon Women Lawyers Association and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel.
While completing her law degree at Willamette University College of Law Megan received an honors award for her research and writing skills. She was a member of Willamette Universitys Public Interest Law Project raising money to fund law clerk positions with Legal Aid Services throughout the region. She chaired the organization in 2002-2003 planning the Annual WUPILP Auction. Ms. Burgess received her B.A. From Linfield College and is a member of the Oregon Bar Association.
Ms. Burgess represented the State of Oregon serving as a United States
Senate Page at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. during the 1995-1996
Senate session. While Pages serve many Senators, Ms. Burgess primarily
worked for Oregon Senators Bob Packwood and Mark Hatfield, and the Senate
Majority Leader, Bob Dole.
